Structural principle of roller cone bit

The structure of the roller cone bit mainly includes four parts: claws, roller cones, bearings and water eyes.

The drill bit drives the roller cone in contact with the rock to roll through the rotary pressurization mechanism. The roller cone rotates around the claw axis and revolves around the center of the drill bit at the same time. Under the action of the static load of the axial pressure and the dynamic load when the cone is rolling, the teeth on the cone break the rock in the form of chiseling, pressing, shearing and scraping.
